The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Hon. Abida Mia, MP, on Friday 14th April, 2023, presided over general cleaning exercise at Area 25 Health Centre in the City of Lilongwe. She was accompanied by her Deputy, Hon. Liana Kakhobwe Chapota, MP. The Principal Secretary and Directors in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation were in attendance.

Staff from Central Region and Lilongwe Water Boards, led by their respective Chief Executive Officers, participated in the cleaning exercise.

The Mayor of the City and his Deputy, took part in general cleaning at the Health Centre. Several other dignitaries from various institutions also participated.

Speaking to the audience, the Minister urged all in attendance to engage in general cleaning activities without being reminded by anyone.
