Salima Scheme

The scheme supplies Salima Town. It stretches from Msangu on the eastern side of the town to Kaphatenga on the western side and from Kamuzu Bridge on the southern part to Limbe on the northern side of the town. The system uses 3 deep boreholes each equipped with submersible motorized pump. These pump water to three different tanks and distribution from the tanks to customers is through gravity. Water treatment is through disinfection with HTH. The scheme has an administration and operations office located at the centre of the town opposite Salima Police Station. At the office, one can get services such as bill enquiry and payment, new water connection applications; andcomplaints and faults reports.

Nkhota-kota Scheme

The scheme supplies Nkhota-kotaDistrict Centre. It stretches from Sitima Inn on the eastern side of the district to Makowa on the western side and from MBC Tower on the southern part to Jalo on the northern side of the town. The system uses 6 deep boreholes each equipped with submersible motorized pump. These pump water to one tank and distribution from the tank to customers is through gravity. Water treatment is through disinfection with HTH. The scheme has an administration and operations office located near Nkhota-kota District Council Offices. At the office, one can get services such as bill enquiry and payment, new water connection applications; and complaints and faults reports.

Dwangwa Scheme

The scheme supplies Dwangwa Town. It stretches from Trading Centre on the eastern side of the town to Kapendekera village on the western side and from Denja near Dwangwa Bridge on the southern part to Nkhungaon the northern side of the town. The system uses 3 deep boreholes each equipped with submersible motorized pump. These pump water to one tank and distribution from the tank to customers is through gravity. Water treatment is through disinfection with HTH.The scheme has an administration and operations office located near Nkhunga Police Station. At the office, one can get services such as bill enquiry, new water connection applications; and complaints and faults reports. Payment of bills for this scheme is done through NBS Bank and other mobile facilities

Chipoka Scheme

The scheme supplies Chipoka Town. It stretches from Chipoka Marine on the eastern side of the town to Chipoka Secondary School on the western side and from Chitsuloon the southern part to Tsambwe culvert in Ndindi village on the northern side of the town. The system uses surface water from Lake Malawi.the water is pumped passing through pressure filters and disinfected using HTH to the tank. Distribution from the tank to customers is through gravity. The scheme has an administration and operations office located near Marine offices. At the office, one can get services such as bill enquiry, new water connection applications; and complaints and faults reports. Payment of bills at this scheme is done through Malawi Posts Cooperation and other mobile facilities

Lifuwu Scheme

The scheme supplies Lifuwu Research Centre. It supplies Lifuwu research station and Health Centre facility. The system uses surface water from Lake Malawi.The system uses 1 deep borehole equipped with submersible motorized pump. This pump water to one tank and distribution from the tank to customers is through gravity. Water treatment is through disinfection with HTH.The scheme has an administration and operations office located inside the research station. At the office, one can get services such as bill enquiry, new water connection applications; and complaints and faults reports. Payment of bills for this scheme is done at any other cash office of CRWB and through mobile facilities.

Senga-Bay Scheme (SalimaLakeshore)

This new scheme is the integration of MAFCO, Parachute and old Senga-Bay schemes. The scheme supplies Senga-Bay town and Army institutions of MAFCO and Parachute Battalion. It stretches from Safari on the eastern side of the town to Mafco Turn Off on the western side and from Parachute Battalion on the southern part toKacherenjeon the northern side of the town. The system uses surface water from Lake Malawi. The water is pumped passing through pressure filters and disinfected using HTH to the tank. Distribution from the tank to customers and other tanks is through gravity. The scheme has an administration and operations office located near MTL office in Senga-Bay where one can get such services as bill enquiry and payments, new water connection applications; and complaints and faults reports.
